Are women superior to men

        Each year in America sports upgrade and become a big part of people's lives throughout the United States. everyday somewhere both boy and girl wake up early in the morning and dedicate themselves to the to the sport they love. but it seems no matter how hard females work they never get the credit that males do. it seems that female athletes don't get the same respect as male athletes. Even though they might play the same sport people tune in to watch the male athletes dominate. it seems lately that when you flip through the channels on the TV you can never find a female college basketball game on. and it seems like the only time there's a female sport on is when there is no male dominant sports on television.

       first, famous athletes don't get paid nearly as much as male athletes. For example there are 55 players in the NBA that get paid more than every women in the WNBA combined. Some of the top 10 players in the WNBA have to play overseas during the offseason to keep money coming in. NBA player Gilbert arenas hasn't played in a long time bet will get paid about 45 million. WNBA player Tina Charles who's a reigning MVP can only earn the leagues maximum 105,000 dollars. Same sport, different gender and huge difference in salary.

     Another example of females not being equal to men, when it comes to getting a athletic scholarship. Male high school students who usually end up having a lower grade then the girls get more athletic scholarships. Male sports do bring in more fans therefore bring in more money and popularity for the school, and the school is going to do what is best for the school. Obviously, its not fair for the ladies but that's just the way it is right now.that's a other example of males being superior to females in sports.

   In my opinion I find it unfair. I think female athletes have to work harder then men because they need to makeup what they lack in that men have. Also because of our society I think its even harder for women to move up a level. I also feel that people should keep male and female sports separate and just enjoy both. That's my look on females not being equal to men.

Russell Westbrook Returns

     After star forward Kevin Durant injured his foot and was out for 6 and half weeks, Thunder star point guard Russell Westbrook was left alone to lead the okc thunder. Many critics didn't believe Westbrook was capable to lead OKC to a good record without Kevin Durant, But Westbrook didn't really get a chance to prove himself. In a game against the Los Angelos clippers, Russell westbrook broke his hand in the second quarter with six minutes and thirty five seconds left. Russell westbrook was out for weeks and returned against the New York Knicks. Russell westbrook had a amazing performance looking like his old self. Russell only played 24 minutes and ended being the player of the game. He had 32 points, eight assist leading his team to victory. Not that many players can do anything like that playing more minutes. And the game after that russell scored 21 point, 6 assist and 2 steals. it seems that Russell Westbrooks hand isnt bothering him, and he seems pretty confident with his ability to lead a team. After both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook got injured, OKC was losing games left and right. And they were losing to teams that were absolutely terrible. Usually OKC are on top of their division conference, but now they're 5-13, I would have to say this is one of the worst seasons for OKC, but now with Durant and Westbrook back OKC has a chance to fix things up and gets some wins.

       

                                                Dwight Howard child abuse

  The star center for the NBA team Houston Rockets is being investigated for supposively abusing his 7 year old son. It was said that Howard beat his 7 year old with a belt. In my opinion i don't really believe That Dwight Howard really beat his own child. Dwight Howard probably discipline his child, but in this society everyone has to hype everything up to make it worst then it really is. I feel like in this generation everybody is starting to become soft. In the older days i'm sure everybody was smacked a couple times for acting up. I'm a hundred percent positive that even if Dwight Howard was to hit his own child he wouldn't hit him hard enough to actually hurt his own flesh and blood. Actually when the accusations actually came about there wasn't any real evidence that he struct his child. Im not saying its ok to absolutely beat your children like Adrian Peterson but, there is no need to make a big deal about a father who wants whats best for his son and for his son to behave. The case has been re-opened and im interested on how this is going  to play out. i also want to see how the NBA is going to act on this situation, Will  they suspend him like the NFL did to Peterson or will he get kicked off the team.



  

                       THAT'S ENOUGH!!!

  The past month or so the NFL has had a couple of players that have had a problem with domestic violence. And lately the NFL has been talking action against these crimes, and yet another player has just been arrested and charged for domestic violence! Even with the stricter rules nfl players still don't get the consequences of their actions can be permanent. This player is Jonathan Dwyer the running back for The Cardinals, and he was charged for domestic violence. This is yet another abusive act from a nfl player and its starting to make the the league look bad.
   Jonathan Dwyer was accused of head butting his wife and breaking her nose. The issue started after Jonathan and his wife got in a argument about Jonathan's " recent phone contacts with other women". And a other police report says that Jonathan was forcing a kiss on his wife, and was also trying to undress her. Somebody heard the argument and called the cops. When the cops arrived they didn't see him there. He was hiding in the shower, and Mr.Dwyer told his wife that if she said anything to the cops, he would kill himself in front of their child. Yet another assault happened based of what the police said Jonathan Dwyer punched her in the face then threw a shoe at her, but instead of hitting her he hit their 17 month child. The Cardinals has moved Jonathan to the reserve list. I believe that like the other players Jonathan Dwyer won't be playing football this year unless he is innocent which I doubt it.

              
            The Return #2

After a long successful off season with the USA fiba Olympic team, Chicago bulls star point guard Derrick Rose is finally starting to look like his old mvp self. Even though he only averaged around 6 points he still looked fast and explosive. That's what every Chicago bulls fan want to hear. Two major knee injuries ( torn back, and torn meniscus) has kept Derrick out for the past two years, and he has played only 10 regular season games in the past two years.

  During the USA training  camp it was said that Derrick Rose was the most impressive player there. Coach K said " I think he's a exceptional in every way..." . He also said " Derrick was sensational the whole week". It seems good for the fans and the franchise. I think it's going to be a good season for the nba with all the star athletes coming back from injury.
